Introductions

Dra. Angelica

sheepherder Dan

Profa. Karina

fowl feeder Alejandra

Lawyer Mariana

After the inauguration we jumped into activities at the Center. Each Sat. we host a guest speaker to share from their expertise on such topics as Ecology from an indigenous perspective, caring for the health needs of your child, sculpturing and recycling and organic gardening. This week we launched our "reading circle" in an attempt to foster a culture of reading in our little town. Our sheep population is ready to double as we started with 5 and today have 9 but one more is due anyday. We've also added a male and female turkey to our already crowded chicken coop. Angelica and I have been asked to lead the services each Sunday afternoon in what is the first Evangelical church in our town. The global financial crisis is hitting more and more in Mexico as unemployment rises and inflation makes the peso worth less and less. We pray that we will have the resources to meet any need that presents itself in the coming days, weeks, months. Thank you for partnering with us as we seek the transformation of San Mateo Tlaixpan in the name of Jesus.

Inauguration Day...now the hard work begins...

The cutting of the ribbon with the help of Pedro from Chiapas.
Mariana, the visionary and human rights lawyer, sharing the vision of the Center.

Dra. Angelica, sharing what a holistic health/counseling clinic looks like at the Center.
Three words were heard strongly last Sat. which summarizes what the Center is all about. Analysis (unafraid, critical analysis of the situation we are living today), Alternatives (creatively searching out viable alternatives) and Action (through commitment to the Word and People of God). We call it our triple AAA ministry! Please remember to pray for all aspects of the health clinic, legal aid clinic, classes, workshops, organic gardening and our sheep raising (now up to 8!).
